Cuando lees titulares como "New regulations will be introduced next year" o comunicados como "The event will be held on Saturday", estás viendo la pasiva en futuro. Es una estructura muy común en anuncios oficiales, comunicados de empresa, noticias y cualquier tipo de texto formal que hable de lo que va a ocurrir.
La estructura base: will be + participio
Sujeto + will be + participio pasado
Es la forma más directa de pasiva en futuro y la más frecuente:
- The results will be announced on Friday.
- New policies will be implemented next year.
- All employees will be informed before the meeting.
- The bridge will be reopened in March.
- Your application will be reviewed within five working days.
El participio no cambia nunca; lo que varía es el tiempo del auxiliar will be.
En negativa:
- The details will not be revealed until the official press conference.
- The project won't be completed before the deadline.
En pregunta:
- Will the report be published online?
- When will the decision be made?
Going to be + participio: con planes previos
Sujeto + am/is/are going to be + participio pasado
Se usa cuando hay una intención o plan establecido de antemano, igual que en la activa:
- The road is going to be closed for repairs next month.
- Three new hospitals are going to be built in the region.
- The annual report is going to be presented at the shareholders' meeting.
En la práctica, especialmente en inglés formal y escrito, will be es más frecuente en pasiva. Going to be suena ligeramente más coloquial.

Present Continuous como futuro: is being + participio
Cuando algo está programado para el futuro inmediato o hay un plan firme, a veces se usa el present continuous pasivo:
- The meeting is being held tomorrow at 10am. (ya está organizado)
- The new members are being introduced at the gala tonight.
- A special screening is being organised for next week.
Este uso transmite que hay preparativos ya en marcha. Es más informal que will be.
Future Perfect Pasiva: will have been + participio
Para hablar de acciones que estarán terminadas antes de un punto futuro concreto:
Sujeto + will have been + participio pasado
- By December, the project will have been completed.
- By the time you read this, the decision will have been made.
- All the data will have been processed before the conference.
Es una estructura más avanzada y poco frecuente en conversación, pero habitual en contratos, planes de proyecto y textos académicos formales.
Usos típicos de la pasiva en futuro
En comunicados y anuncios oficiales:
- The new CEO will be appointed next month.
- All contracts will be reviewed in the upcoming audit.
- The policy will be revised before the end of the year.
En noticias y periodismo:
- A new law is expected to be passed before the summer recess.
- The suspect will be charged with three counts of fraud.
- The report will be released to the public next Tuesday.
En contextos académicos:
- The findings will be discussed at the annual symposium.
- Data will be collected over the following six months.
En atención al cliente y comercio:
- Your order will be shipped within 48 hours.
- A refund will be processed in 5-7 working days.
- You will be contacted by our team shortly.
La pasiva en futuro con modales
Cuando añades modales (must, should, may, might, can), la estructura es:
modal + be + participio (sin will, porque el modal ya expresa el futuro o la modalidad)
- The form must be submitted by next Friday.
- The equipment should be tested before the launch.
- The event may be postponed due to weather conditions.
- This approach could be adopted in future projects.
Si quieres combinar will con un modal de deducción (raro pero posible):
- The report will probably be ready by Monday. (aquí will es el futuro y probably el matiz)
